Wel as you know my site has been up a while now and after some mathmatics and removing every time i log in today i have had 1000 hits on my website from 25 diferent countries which is above average according to Google… not bad for a 3 month old site.

Thank you to all that have visited and had a look and please come back also feel free to leave your comments under each post you can remain annonymous if you wish just make up an email address.

Heres some interesting facts for you … or maybe not….
when searching Google World Wide for “waynes photos” Ranked 2nd of about 42 million results
when searching Google uk for “waynes photos” Ranked 1st from 400,000 results

The Bussiest single day was 2nd july with 55 hits
The single most popular post overall has been The London Architecture Poll with 46 visits but only 15 votes :(
The average page view is 2.71 pages per visit, spending 3 minutes 17 seconds viewing those pages.
In reality there are a high number of single page visits staying for 10 seconds or less, but here have been a number of visitors how have stayed and given the site a thourough read through thanks you to mondays visitor who stayed for 29 minutes reading 12 pages from the Uk. :)

55% of people visiting the site return for another look… :)
33% of visitors arrived from google or other search engines.

1 person did a search for Jonathan Fridlington (my best mate and fellow photographer) skipped 9 results for him and clicked on my site, the odd thing is i that they never actaully clicked on his site at all that day… how bizzare?
Overall there were visits from 25 countries around the globe in order of most hits first here are the stats

  • United States
  • Italy
  • Romania
  • Ireland
  • Canada

There are hundreds more stats i could bore you with but i wont, but i will tell you that i can even tell the screen resoloution of the pcs or handheld devices the website is viewed on and i will be using this in future to maximise the size of the photos i put up, in short if you cant see the whole picture your in the minority and its time to buy a bigger screen!
Here is an image with a descriptionclick on it, if you cant see it all (inc description) then your screen is set below average resoloution (if you need help call me) shame about the lens flare in this picture

Vickers Vimy Goodwood Revival ~ Last Flight

The Vickers vimy, a British heavy bomber developed during the First World War, the Vimy was both a successful military and civilian aircraft, flying into the history books on excursions to Capetown, Australia and the first ever flight across the Atlantic (piloted by Alcock and Brown) in 1919. This replica of the original aeroplane performed its last public display flight at on Sunday 20th September at the Goodwood revival 2009. However im sure that was said of the Avro Vulcan at one point so you never know, it left Goodwood airfield bound for Brooklands Museum in Surrrey to live out its remaining days.
Unfortunatley the sheduled flight for the day went of plan and i was in the wrong place as it flew over an hour early over shooting towards the sun on a grey sky making for a not so brilliant picture, none the less its still ok ish.

Well i was sat on a wall up at Goodwood a few hours after the Vulcan had flown over waiting for the “all warbirds” display, that was cancelled so in the end i was waiting for something that wasn’t going to happen. While waiting i managed to get some photo’s of the vimmy vintage aeroplane but also decided to capture some nice cars as they were leaving the revival. Far to often do i see people flocking to photograph ferrari’s, lamborghini’s and other “nice” expensive sports cars many paying little attention to the classics and really that’s what the revival is all about and although its a nice car and i wouldn’t say no to one if it was offered but the aston martin db9 has got a little common around these parts and on sunday almost every 5th car was a db9 (driven by a lot of people who would loved to have posed for a picture) sorry not this time….
So what we have here after some research is a nice example of a 1929 Alfa Romeo 6c 1750 as far as i can tell, this particular model had an engine capacity of 1752cc producing 46bhp with a top speed of 68mph (going about 30 went he went past me).
I have used a colour & black & white image here to show this one, as some of the scenery (traffic cones and car park attendant in yellow jacket) detracts somewhat from the beauty of the car.

Alfa Romeo leaving Goodwood Festival of Speed - Revival 2009,waynes photos

Below is a mock up (photoshop edit) of how the car might have looked if i had taken the same photo on film back in the 50′s

And finally we have another photoshop edit of a scene that i captured just outside the main gates at Goodwood circuit of a mobile canteen from world war 2
it it wasn’t for a modern van in the background and a chap not wearing the uniform it would be easy to pass this off as an original photo such was the detail in their re creation of the time.
