Well it’s been a long time coming and with the super bowl 45 this weekend I thought it was about time I edited and posted some of the picture I took during the international game at Wembley in London 31st October 2010. In the U.SA. they don’t really do things small so this was a big event American style with a massive Tailgate party outside the stadium for 6 hours before kickoff as well as a pre party in Trafalgar square on the day before.

The tailgate party offered a chance for fans to try out their throwing arms and kicking skills on practice stalls as well as browse a collection of memorabilia from around the NFL not to mention the huge San Francisco 49ers hall of fame on display covering a complete highlight history of the 49ers including the super bowl rings and trophies. Among other stands were all the sponsor tents where at various points the San Francisco gold rush cheerleaders provided and excellent display of their talents I was so busy taking photos I missed by 1 person in the queue for my photo with them so had to settle for a cheeky background snap.

All in all as a third time to see the 49ers in the flesh (twice at home in SF) it was really amazing to finally see them win a game.
Although the International game isn’t even on US soil it was classed as home field advantage for the 49ers. Their own stadium candlestick park California seats 69,734 while the “new” Wembley stadium seats 90,000 the second largest stadium in Europe, all which meant that the 83,941 attendance was the biggest crowd ever to attend a home game for the 49ers.

My prediction for super bowl 45 winners is the Pittsburgh Steelers although I would prefer the Green Bay packers to win either way its going to be a great game.
