Elmer Beach Long Exposure

Taken down at Elmer beach yesterday had some time inbetween jobs so i thought i would bust out the camera.
Since getting a big stopper i havent really used it that much which is a crime in itself really.
The big stopper is a bit of black glass that allows you to keep the shutter open on the camera for extreme amounts of time even in daylight without over exposing the photo but allowing all things moving to blur.
Here are 2 examples of what you can do, both images are 2 mintue exposures ( normal exposure time for this type of shot would be 1/30th of a second, so that makes these shots 3600 times longer than they should be.

Bognor Regis Bandstand – By Night

A shot of the Bognor Regis Bandstand taken while the moon was rising.
The image was duplicated then turned into black and white and the colour allowed through using a layer mask in photoshop.

    First Post

I have been out taking photographs over the last few days shooting pictures of almost anything, I have completely decided that although some things in nature will always amaze me and compel me to take picture of it I am not a nature photographer, so I will say occasionally without warning there will be some random nature shots on my blog they may not be great or at all interesting but I shot them for a reason at the time.
So without further ado i make my first official post, whilst out in Bognor Regis today I took a couple more shots of the monument in the middle of the high street today was from a different angle to the last one and I’m please to say that although I didn’t get the whole thing in what i got I’m pleased with, the nature of the area does not allow for a full shot without filling the picture full of rancid buildings or locals (not all locals are rancid). , the seven meter high “sun sculpture” was designed by artist & creator Pete Coding.
