Goodwood Revival 2011 air display times and flight path
The Days schedule and event information is now up online and the air display time are provisionally booked for the following times:-
Friday 11:05 display over track
14:55 display over track
19:00 spitfire display over goodwood house
Saturday 8:30 spifire flyby 10 mins
11:10 5 spitfire display
15:00 (The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight 2 x spitfires 1 x lancaster )
19:00 spitfire display
Sunday 8:47 spifire flyby 10 mins
11:25 (The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight 4 x spitfires 1 x lancaster )
13:00 (Spitfire tribute on track)
13:15 spitfire squadron display
17:35 Battle of Britain spitfires leave
Based on previous years there have been more flights at approx 17:00-18:00 and day closing displays.
previous years have included the red arrows but not in the last 3 years at the revival and according to my sources are not current scheduled to display at Goodwood Revival they are due to be in the Netherlands on the 16th-17th and in Newcastle and belgium on the 18th so highly unlikely to see them at Goodwood, like wise the Avro Vulcan’s last scheduled display of the year is currently 10th of september.
Click on the image below to see a larger map of the Goodwood airfield, access around the track is limited during the display sessions and visitors to the revival can not walk past the orange markers either side of the track during the displays.
However if you are not attending and would like a close up vantage point from outside the airfield you can use the orange markers as a guide as to where the aircraft will be flying the red line on the map is a public footpath so a great vantage point.
I state here and now if you stand directly under the flight path you do so at your own risk not because i said it was a good idea!
So if your questions are any of the following you should now have the answers:-
Are the red arrows flying at revival = no
Is the avro vulcan flying at revival = not likely
where is the best place to watch the displays = see above
what times are the air displays at revival 2011 = see above
what planes are flying at revival = up to 12 spitfires and other old planes ( harvard, mustangs, lancasterbomber, etc)
any further questions please email me
im very local to the track so have good information.
