Not realising my lens was damaged i went for a walk recently and took some photos of damselflies near the chichester lakes, there were hundreds of them everywhere, these 2 stopped long enough for me to take a picture, due to the lens damage the picture isnt quite as sharp as it should be, but i just love the heart shape they make while mating.
I went out for a walk today hoping to find some poppies up at Halnaker Windmill similar to this picture taken by Frank NaylorOnly alot more dramtic maybe with a sunset or rising moon.
From the bottom of the carpark to the top of the hill is about 1 mile as well as including the area the size of about 10 football pitches at the top of the hill I could only find a total of 4 poppies!
There was no plan B, however on the way down the hill i came across a Chalk Hill Blue Butteryfly which kindly settled long enough for me to take a few pictures.
One thing that has been in my diary since i missed out last year is to get a nice shot of some bluebells, the bank holday weekend was looking rather damp but today proved much better for going out exploring here are a few of my photos from today…
